During the 12 days tour Highlights of Morocco, which begins and ends with the city of Fez (the scientific capital) of the Kingdom of Morocco, you will have enough time to discover and learn about the cultural and architectural diversity of the ancient Moroccan minarets such as the city of Fez, Marrakech and Meknes, as well as the diversity and terrain through passing through the High and Middle Atlas Mountains and small, as well as the welcome and simplicity that the Moroccan people have added to the variety of Moroccan cuisine.
12 days tour Highlights of Morocco itenerary:
Day 1: Welcome to Marrakech : transfer to your Hotel / Riad
We will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your Riad/Hotel.
Day 2: Marrakech Medina exploration
Exploring Marrakech’s Medina is a captivating journey through the heart of the city, offering a mix of vibrant markets, historical landmarks, and rich cultural experiences. Key attractions include the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa Square with its daytime street performances and evening transformation into a lively night market. The iconic Koutoubia Mosque and its peaceful gardens stand adjacent to the square. Navigating the souks, specialized markets offering spices, textiles, leather goods, and crafts, is a sensory experience with common bargaining practices.
Other highlights include the exquisite 19th-century Bahia Palace, the hidden Saadian Tombs rediscovered in 1917, the tranquil Mouassine Fountain amid traditional Moroccan architecture, and the historic Medersa Ben Youssef, an ancient Islamic school renowned for intricate tilework. The Maison de la Photographie showcases vintage photographs capturing Morocco’s history, complemented by a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the Medina.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi) ]

Skoura Oasis:
- Explore the lush palm groves and historic kasbahs of Skoura Oasis, with the Amerhidil Kasbah standing out as a notable landmark.
Valley of the Roses:

Dades Gorges:

Day 5: Explor Merzouga area (Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert)
Explore Merzouga area and enjoy some Gnawa music at Khamlia village, head back to the hotel to take the camels to spend one night at the Sahara desert under the tents, enjoy the shining starts at the open sky.
Day 6: Merzouga Camel trek & Overnight in desert camp.
Today our 12 day Morocco Private tour continues and we will explore desert are . Ride camels and we reach the dunes of Erg Chebbi ,highest in Morocco. We will also visit a Berber family and also Khamlia village ,where we listen to Gnawa music. We will visit Berber nomads and oasis of palm trees in nearby area. After lunch in Merzouga we ride camels in the sand dunes to reach desert camp. We will spend this night in desert camp where we will enjoy Berber drums music in the middle of the Sahara. You will also enjoy the sunset and sunrise in desert. After traditional Moroccan dinner we stay overnight in desert tents.
Day 7: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Ziz Valley – Errachidia – Midelt
Head to Midelt, visit Rissani, Ziz valley and cross Errachidia, overnight at Midelt.
Day 8: Midlet – Atlas Mountains – Azrou (Cedar Forest) – Fes Imperial City
Departure to Fez, crossing the Midle Atlas Mountains, feed the monkeys at the Majestic Ceder Woods of Azrou. Cross Ifran and Overnight at Fez.
Day 9: Fez Medina Exploration tour
Explore Fez Medival medina with a local guide; visit the Tanneries, and Ceramics of the town. Overnight at Fez hotel.
Day 10: Fez – Volubilis – Meknes – Rabat
Leave Fez visit Volubilis ‘the Roman ruins’, lunch at Meknes and overnight at Rabat.
Day 11: Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech
Visit Rabat historical landscapes and head to Casablanca, visit Hassan II mosk have a drink or lunch at the Rick’s Café or by the Atlantic Ocean, head to Marrakech /overnight.
Day 12: Free day in Marrakech
last minute shopping at Marrakech and packing/ Departure from Marrakech to your airport/ tour ends in Marrakech.

You should choose this trip to the Moroccan Sahara desert, We were family of 4 person, and we traveled with Brahim. The trip was perfect every day, we saw the real Morocco, In addition to the magic of the wonderful desert.
